A VOICE FOR WORKING PEOPLE IN DISTRICT 5.

Aprile Hearn is a mother, mental health worker, activist, and democratic socialist running for Louisville Metro Council.

Louisville has neglected the people of Shawnee, Portland, Russell and Chickasaw so that a few wealthy developers can profit. The working people of district 5 should decide what happens in our neighborhoods, not corporate interests. We deserve a city built for all of us, not just millionaire donors, and Aprile is ready to fight to make that happen. Aprile is rejecting all corporate donations and developer dollars - her campaign is sustained by everyday people and grassroots donors like you.

OUR PLATFORM

1

A VOTE FOR DEMOCRACY IN OUR LIVES

The people of district 5 deserve input on discretionary spending, public input on the city budget, an end to handouts to corporations, and fully funded public transportation.

2

A STRONGER LOUISVILLE

To strengthen our communities, we need programs to address the root causes of violence, investment in public spaces, representatives who will fight for the people, and real solutions to decrease harm in our city.

3

A HEALTHIER WEST END

For our health and wellbeing, we need public ownership of utilities, more green spaces and protections against lead poisoning that our current representative voted away.
